Finally, back and a few minutes to sneak onto the computer. ( I'm not supposed to do too many things, you know like do one thing then have a rest, I am having a little bit of trouble with the concept of one thing!!) I like to work and play by the motto- until you drop- yep well I am soooo good at that at the moment, yesterday I thought I would just move a few things around near the computer and ended up in bed unable to move for the rest of the day. Unfortunately most things involve moving ones neck to look down, you know to paint, sew, embroider, bead, read magazines etc and that happens to be exactly where my MS has decided to attack me this time!!! How annoying!! Oh working on the computer is another one of those neck things, see it's so cruel. Please excuse any spelling mistakes(more then usual) as we have bought this wireless mouse and keyboard combo and I am trying to get used to the keys, without bending my neck!!
Before I go on, and I do like to go on, I must say an absolute huge thank you to my mum Jan and to Laura for doing such a wonderful job in my absence. Poor Laura had both her mum and me away at the same time and had to cope with tea parties and displays and the usual excitement that Lilly Cottage brings. Of course she is more than capable, but it is more fun together!! Also a huge thank you for all your kind wishes whilst I was in hospital, it makes a girl feel loved!
Now for the catching up, before I got to the point of going to hospital I managed to post out my Partea swap items to my swap partner Jullie, I was sure they were going to get lost in the floods on the way to the Blue Mountains, but no they made it safe and sound. These are some of the pictures I took, before I packed it up, there were one or two items that I forgot to take photos of but Jullie has posted them and when I work out flicker I will load th ose as well. I did write a poem to go with these, I will have to see if I can load that as well. The good thing now is that I know Jullie has already seen them, so it doesn't matter if she peeks!!
I have read so many magazines in the last two weeks, which I looved don't get me wrong, but I was st arting to run out of good magazines and was reduced to a few pages of trashy magazines and it was horrible!! Reading everyones blogs is like getting a daily magazine, as Jenny holiday said once in one of her blog entries that blogging is the natural progression of a magazine addict and oh so true that is. Sorry t his is wordy, but I will put lots of pretty pictures to look at!!
The actual day I went into hospital I had to quickly go up to the post office to receive a beautiful big box all the way from OS . It was my lovely tiara/crown from the amazing Amanda and the swap she organised. I quic kly opened at it, loved it, left it on the table and there it stayed for the last two weeks until I moved it to pride of place on my computer yesterday! Darling Husband is out right now as we speak buying me a new computer and monitor as mine is ancient!! Only problem then will be how to balance a crown on a flat screen! Oopps!! I th ink he feels bad, or is sick of me complaining about how slow my computer is and the fact that I am not allowed to drive for at least the next month, therefor have to rely on the kindness of strangers and family to take me out to the shop, so I will therefor be on the computer soo much more! Look out world, she's not allowed to drive!!
I will leave you with some pictures and will speak to you all again soon, TTFN KN Linda Lilly Cottage. Oh the Kewpie doll is a rescued treasure waiting for a little bit of a touch up with glitter and ribbon, but she looks cute in the vase with the amazing magical wand that Amanda also sent me!!
