Well Wednesday was one busy day, fantastic weather if not a little warm for spring at 30 degrees Celsius, but lovely just the same! Our private tea party for a group of ladies was wonderful and we got to use all our best china and table linens. This is Laura setting up a cake stand or two with some delicious treats. The ladies all enjoyed themselves and felt like they were at a wedding without the bride/groom and having to buy presents, so hopefully it meant they felt special!
As a forerunner to The Na National Breast Cancer Foundation Pink Morning Tea that the lovely Trish is organising ( see side bar for info) for the 26th October at 9.30am, the newspaper photographer came and took what I am sure will be stunning photos (not) of myself, Trish and some spectacular teapots and flowers. Laura ran away and didn't want to get photographed, so now you have a picture of her back!
If anyone would like to come to the morning tea please contact Trish and she will give you all the information, it is promising to be a spectacular event!!
Often people will come into the shop and be amazed at all the pink girly pieced and are convin ced that both Laura and I must live in the most wonderfully decorated houses! Ha Ha how I wish it was true!! It is a bit like having a plumber in the household and having a dripping tap, or a builder and a half finished room, a banker and no bills paid, you get the idea. I have po sted pictures of my craft space before so you know it isn't pretty, well yes it is pretty messy! But after another comment on Sunday I decided that I really should make an effort to re-decorate or rather re-display, I mean we do it at the shop a few times a week so surely it can't be that hard! Well it was, so many little pieces that all needed d dusting or washing. I finally found the surface of the television cabinet and like always the task snowballed and the whole room needed re-arranging but I think I finally got it together and at this present moment, it is neat and tidy and there is no dust and I have thrown away about ten shopping lists! So my task for the next week or sew is to make cushions for my own lounge room that match the room. i can't believe I have all this beautiful fabric and have never even thought to make cushions for my house and I make cushions every week!! These last few photos are from my newly tidied lounge room and a few of my favourite things, I am thinking at least I will have proof that it was tidy for a couple o f days!
