I really shouldn't make such promises as speak to you tomorrow, or I will post again tomorrow, because something suddenly came up' ( do you remember that on The Brady Bunch?....Marcia tells her date, something suddenly came up so she could go out with another boy... oh dear sometimes I am so sad). Either that or I ran out of workable hours, yep that was it that horrible need to sleep sometime in this 24 hour period, kicked in. But don't fret, I have been busy, finished my swaps, well nearly and have finally sent off my gaga for garlands swap to Penny, I will put her link up later, in Oklahoma. She sent hers ages ago and here are some slack photos of the beautiful banner she made me, so much work in it , Thank You so much!!! It was waiting for me when I got out of hospital last time and i made my long suffering husband hang it up right there and then and there it has stayed, perhaps not in the best colour co-ordinated spot but I get to see it everyday so that is a good thing. It spells out FESTIVE DAYS and there are so many special little charms and of course lots of ribbon, sparkle and feathers, woo hoo!! I tried to get a few close ups but as this was in the middle of "My Room" being created ( IE family kicked out of family room and Mum and all her stuff, move in), there were a few obstacles in the way. I will also include some sneaky peeks of my half of the swap currently winging it's way over the ocean.
The other swap, the handmade ornament swap, organised by the super talented and wonderful Kerryanne, is finished but I am having troubles parting with it ( same happened with the garland swap, except it was the family who wanted to keep it, I hope that is a good thing not wanting to part with it!) .. But don't worry Corrina I will send it! ( unless of course Something suddenly comes up! lol).
I have also tackled my four Wombat pieces for Bridgette and they should be ready by the end of the week, just one more wascally wombat to embroider!
I have also got two new designs to go in to the shop, one I will show you later ( I won't say tomorrow), which I love a nd the other is in the photos down further and is a rose potpourri hanging sachet, made out of vintage handkerchiefs and yummy ribbon. I will be making more of these as well, they are fun, because you don't know what they will look like until the very end.
Have also been on a painting and gluing streak today...boy can I do a lot in one day when I put my mind to it ( and when someone else cooks dinner and baths the children and when I can use speaker on the phone!) So the birdies in the Christmas Tree might even be finished this year...shock horror...this is stage two when it is looking decidedly pink, doesn't look like that at the moment though, I have painted some more since then and the children keep asking when they can help again. Hmm not so sure about that one, I already gave up decorating the real Christmas Tree and had to take the supervisor role, but then that turned out alright even if MY favourite decorations are at the back of the tree! Off to paint a little more before I turn into a pumpkin...oops too late!! TTFN KN Linda Lilly Cottage.
