Christmas Lilly's love.
I love having friends who 'get me'. you know those friends who don't ever have to ask what do you want...they just get it and it is perfect and I have a few of those friends, but this friend, the Lilly Cottage other half friend got me the most amazing things this year I am humbled. Normally we do a box of bits....assorted bits that no one else would think was treasure, you know, buttons, old lace, sequins diamanties, feathers, pretty paper, jewells...but this Christmas I got a box with those amazing things plus a book I was lusting after and an Eiffel tour that could double as a weapon whould I ever have the occasion to need one in the future.
Those lovely Lilys are from my Mother who knows I wanted pink Lilys that smelt wonderful and these opened up overnight to greet me Christmas morning and they smell fantastic!!
Here is part of the box of gorgeousness.
My book and fabric...swoon!!
My crystal Eiffel Tower with a licence to kill ( very sharp point with a good deal of weight to it). Those lovely cannisters in the backgound are my vintage finds that i keep all my vintage finds in, like old jewellery bits and pieces, flowers, you name it I have a tin for it, pity they were brown though, but brown and pink do go nicely together and it makes a nice backdrop for sharp clear pointy things.
Did you spot this little cutey in my box?? I adore elephants and this little hand crafted sweetie is too too cute and even has some special charms around her neck..look...
look....
I am sooo lucky!! Thanks Laura!!
Now it is Christmas evening here and NOW my children are tucked sound in their beds...last night they were up and down from 3.30am..they have to be tired. Or it could have been the way we spent Christmas day ( I took the photos, I didn't actually participate... except I laughed an awful lot).
How did you spend your Christmas day?
AAhh Slip and Slide, even if you have to use tank water with an electic pump, you are still lots of fun and the best bit is when you want the children to stop playing (as you know they would play until they fell asleep) you just tell them the water ran out in the tank!!
Merry Christmas

Kiss Noises Linda Lilly Cottage.

Looks like a perfect day Linda.
I know what you mean about gifts like Laura has so generously given you. I once received a chipped piece of vintage ware from my SIL for a birthday gift and the others who were there were gobsmacked that she would give me something second hand. I adore that little dish that was SO me. She obviously gets me like Laura gets you!!!
Hope you enjoy all those pretties in your treasure box.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

i cant believe i was there in your shop to see you open that box of gorgeousness... it really was full of 'treasures' as we call them. lili would love a box like that,by the way she had tears in her eyes when she realised which bear she was holding!! when she noticed that Rosalie was no longer in your shop she was sad for quite some time so it was with great mummy pleasure that i handed her her bear. and oh boy was mias bear a hit. it really suits her, so floppy and skinny and that vintage dress is dreamy. now when claudia graduates some sort of school milestone she will have to have one that suits her too. the snow flakes, mini puddings and 'MY WREATH' look so nice on my fire place. late tonight when all are in bed i will do a big post on all our goodies, wait til you see what i got!! (ther trifecta) all will be revealed. oh my i have written a novel sorry. mmmmwwwaaaahhh

I'm soooo jealous that it's summer there! We were snowed in until a couple of days ago (meaning I had to walk everywhere instead of drive, which was actually good for me!)...Love the blue elephant in the post above...Take care, Katie
