What shall we make today??
OK, things are moving and groovin at Lilly Cottage but we need some help to know what to do next...have you got any ideas on what you would like to see us make. If you were going to a shop or a hand made stall what would make your heart beat faster, what would you desire?? Would it be fabric, a bag? a wall hanging? a cushion?? or would it be painted, a canvas? a collage? small or large? would it be brooches, or other jewellery?
What colours, what subject? Sometimes we just need a little push in the right direction and often one idea will lead to another and we will be creating until the middle of the night.
The reason for our questions is both Laura and I fell in love with these birdhouses by a stall holder Bird House Lane at Old Petrie Town, just before Christmas. They were a little expensive that close to Christmas for us otherwise we would have bought one of each. Everyone was drawn to them and it was so hard to choose a favourite, it was usually the one someone else walked away with.
I bought this little cute pink one and hope to add to my collection soon. So if we were drawn to these lovelies what would you love to see?
We might even have a little giveaway ...leave us a comment, let us know what you love...
until then TTFN Kiss Noises Linda Lilly Cottage.

Hi girls,
When I visit beautiful shops like yours I just have to buy something. After all, I would love just about everything in the shop!!
But back to your question, I try to pick up small pretties to put in my present box so when someone has a birthday or I need a little thank you gift, I have lots of little things to choose from.
Hugs,
Kerryanne

Hey Lilly Linda and Lovely Laura! That birdhouse is gorgeous! I look for little gifties like Kerryanne, or add to my many collections of China, bears etc - tend to look for things I DON'T make myself. Rustic or shabby chic catches my eye most!! Oh wait - that's most of the pretties at Lilly Cottage! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS

did you see my gorgeous silver and white bird house church? i got it at a local florist...i wanted to buy the one beside it too but at close to $20 each i had to stop at one. we must have been separated at birth to have bought something so similar just before christmas. i seem to be attracted to miniature items at the moment. i am going to paint up the shadow box i bought at your garage sale and put my miniatures in it. can you make miniatre things???? ok off for a walk in this heat crazy i know

Well, this is the time of year that I start making cute things for spring (I do it during the long haul of winter so I;'m not scurrying around in April). Hw about something with flowers? Maybe how to make some cute bouquets from card stock papers. I like the nest idea that someone posted above. Or what about some cheerful birdies from felt or paper or garden art for outside?
Love your blog...just found it!
