Happy New Year, quotes and Daffodils!
Happy New Year everyone, i tried to do this post last night but it didn't really work out as the words were too big for the lines so sorry if you got that version on your readers.
My lovely friend Lynda with a y sent me this lovely email about daffodils and working at your dreams bit by bit and starting today is not too late, it wouldn't publish to show you but the important parts were this:
Happiness is journey not a destination.
and
Don't be afraid your life will end, be afraid it will never begin.
So with those words in my head I shall make this a wonderful new year, 2009 will be wonderful!!
The quote I really want to live by, as it is my favourite and sorry i don't know who wrote it is....
'Imagine what you would do if you knew you could never fail'
What is your favourite quote, leave us a message in the comments, we would love to know.
Also keep up those suggestions for that last post, they are really really helpful.
Hopefully this year will be spent with people you love, doing what you love, feeling healthy and happy. We plan too!
Now here is a photo of the two Mothers who make running Lilly Cottage possible, they sew, they clean, they open up and run the shop, they make coffee ( even though we ask them not too!), they make tasty treats for us and they are always there AND they are going to kill me for putting up this photo.
But this is to say thank you and Happy New Year.
Have a lovely day, it is going to be very hot here today so we will be laying low, TTFN KN Linda and Laura Lilly Cottage.

Hey Lilly Linda and Lovely Laura! HAPPY NEW YEAR to you two beautiful ladies! I'm so glad my power went out one day in February and I spent two hours reading your archives! Tee! Hee! Hee! Am looking forward to more play dates this year with all my friends, including some road trips to Lilly Cottage, so WATCH OUT!! Tee! Hee! Hee! Love the photos of your gorgrous Mums - aren't Mum's great!! I have so many fave quotes it was hard to pick one, but I love the one below, so thought I'd share that one with you. Have a fantastic day and a wonderful New Year full of love, laughs and LOTS of stitching!! My quote: Live every day to the fullest - each minute is a blessing from God! And never forget...the people who make a difference in our lives are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones who care for us! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Hi Linda and Laura,
Happy New Year to you both. What wonderful quotes to start the new year. I wish I could tell you what my favourite was but I always forget them within two minutes of reading them. I hope you are surviving this heat wave.
Cheers Linda

Happy New Year to all at Lilly Cottage.
My fav personal quote is: Life is not a destination - so enjoy the journey.
I try hard to make everyday count and in doing so it is easier to recognise even the smallest of miracles each day eg. a lovely bird in a tree, a pretty sunset etc. (LOL) My friends consider me a bit of an arty farty or hippy but really - it doesn't take much to show appreciation for those small things that make our life what it is!!
Hope you are enjoy this first day of 2009.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
