I thought I would add a new category in this week. Following a big re-arrange earlier in the week we were discussing how many little things are poked in our shelves so we have a game for you ....Find it Friday.

As we said in our last post ( the one about the Baker and our tea party set up) we did tea party displays on Sunday, we are changing our theme each week for a little while.
After our friendly baker brought us coffee we were good for an hour or so before we got caught in a huge rain storm, we didn't even see it approaching as we were busy and it came from another direction....needless to say we got drenched as did all the pretties but we had some great help from customers pulling all the stock in and it was still a bit of a giggle.
These are some of our displays before the rain came, hope you enjoy them.

Today Laura and I did a wonderful tea party themed display at Lilly Cottage. We got there super early, played around with some displays and then of course took some photos ( as one does).
Something was wrong with this shot though.
Oh of course that is what is missing.....our friendly delicious coffee wielding .....now you know I mean the coffee is delicious....our friendly Baker!! He jumped in the photo at the last minute and really it is just what is needed...a bit of fun and some good coffee!!

I had the distinct honour of being involved in the Vintage Valentine Fat Book project organised by the sweet and talented Dede Warren from Dream Create Share. I was the only Australian to be involved I think and this book is amazing.
A fat book 'swap' is where everyone participating does ( in this case) 16 pages on a vintage valentine theme. They are made to a set measurement in whatever style, fabric, card etc that you wish. When your pages are completed they all get sent to the 'Hostess' in this case ...Dede and she did an absolutely gorgeous job of combining one page from each participant and making them into the most wonderful book of art.
Now these are the pictures of the book I received and just adore. If I have the link of the artist I will put it underneath but if I don't have it and this is your page...please please let me know so I can come and visit you!

I love my book and it has pride of place on top of my piano at the moment. It was a great creativity kick for the start of the year. Thank you to Dede for all your hard work and to the other wonderful ladies who made this little book possible.
Having been so inspired by this I made some little tote bags which are available on our eBay and Etsy sites...as well as out at Lilly Cottage of course.

Being that Laura and I are quite 'childlike' when it comes to the things we love, the beauty we find in buttons and hair ribbons and tired old teddy bears. We have a little corner that now more than ever reminds us of those old fashioned general stores where all the treasures can be seen behind the counter.
My little cottages painting wasn't originally intended to be a 'childs' painting but it just does look so perfect in this spot.
Pink Elephants!! I see Pink Elephants!! Laura and I fell in love with these girls..see there is a big one and a little one. Too too cute and they are called wait for it.....Fanny!!

OK I have two Antique and Collectables fair dates for you.
I hope to go to both of these but Nambour is my favourite and I love to have a car park picinc as you know but I will let you know details of that closer to the time....OK dates..
