For the first time in ages I headed out to Lilly Cottage for the entire day today. Besides being frustrated that I couldn't re-arrange an entire room right there and then and that I couldn't walk around the park like I used to, it was a good day.
The nicest part of the day was finding this gorgeous creature..Mr Ele Fant created by the talented Pam. I snavelled him up as quick as you like and then hoped like anything that I could adopt Princess Ellie ( who has lost her crown) as well..soon.
I adore elephants and they rate higher than peacocks in my favourite animal stakes, they aren't as much fun to paint as peacocks but I have done a few elephant paintings.
I adore their eyelashes and a couple of years ago when we went to Dubbo Zoo and went on a behind the scenes tour of the elephants, it was all I could do not to burst into tears..they were soo lovely.
Just look at this gorgeous creature, would he have not made you feel weak at the knees too?
With his vintage newspaper hat he is just lovely. He has come home with me now but great news, Pam will do orders and Princess Ellie and a few of her bear friends have come to live at Lilly Cottage and are ready to go home with someone else...if you are quick and they don't come home with me that is.
Look at the little Princess without her crown...a quick photo on the way out the door.
I love the rose at the end of her trunk.
Hope your weekend was wonderful.
