Phffeww...if you think that title is tiring you get an idea of what a wonderful long weekend I have just had with two of the funniest, most creative bloggers I know, the lovely Kris from Tag Along Teddies and the gorgeous Kerryanne from Shabby Art Boutique. These two are as Kris says, my 'oldest' blogging buddies and after three or more years we finally manged to get the three of us together in the ones place...a divine holiday house at Tamborine which is in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Kris and I have had a few play dates together before but this was the first time I had met Kerryanne face to face and gosh she is wonderful....there were no photos to be taken with the two of us together however as she is so delicate and tiny and I felt like an Amazon next to her... so here is a photo of her taking a photo of me and me taking a photo of her for the very first time....just a little bit of sillyness went on.
The house had the most divine views which we actually got to see on the one day it was shining and let me tell you they were magical! On a clear night it was like a fairy land...all sparkly and on a foggy night it was..a little bit scary but a little bit fun as well ( glad I wasn't driving the car is all I can say). We even managed to take our long suffering darling husbands with us and they played very nicely and put up with our constant chatter, giggles and shopping....good thing for husband seats ( Kerryanne even sat down once! it might have been because I was taking too long...so darling husband tells me anyway).
It was a great weekend full of great friends, antiquing, eating, champagne ( girls you will be glad to know the empty Moet bottle is still in my possession...have no idea what I am going to do with it though), shopping, more chatting, present giving and receiving and gosh even a little bit more chatting.
The internet has made the world so much closer and not so long ago, spending the weekend with people you have never met in person, just on a computer screen, would have had visions of axe murderers running through your head. Now it is with great excitement you set off to meet up with like minded souls who really 'get you' , who get that need to buy some old bits of lace and that really gorgeous vintage ironing board and understand when you turn up to a weekend away with two vintage suitcases full of sewing to do and hardly do any at all....and they get the need to photograph the food we ate.
Tamborine is a fabulous place to visit and these little shops are just divine and the 30% off sign was soooo enticing in this little shop below..well it was enticing anyway..just look at it!!
Be back later in the week with show you my fabulous stash of goodies...what a weekend..thank you so much Kris and Kerryanne and your darling husbands for a fabulous weekend away... you are just gorgeous bubbly bloggers and fabulous friends, can't wait for the reunion.
Now if you want to see Kerryannes and Kris' version of the story you can go...
