I see the Bridge!

Finally something happening.

I have written a really whingey post and left it in drafts but finally I can show you somethings I have been working on...how I long for some long quiet days to potter around in...I suppose then I will be wanting some activity instead of quiet...here are some things that are happening around the home front.

 

Changing this to this...

 

it might not look like it but boy has this room been changed around and boy was it dusty!!!

I went out to lunch just down the road and over the bridge and had this view to look at.

 

 

 

Of course I didn't lunch alone, the lovely Lan of the fair skin joined me...look Lan you are famous in your own lunchtime...oh my goodness I am so funny.....not.

 

Of course that was the other week when it was lovely and sunny, today is very wet and soggy and I have been working on some bits and pieces....am liking the start of these things, things might be looking up..

 

Oh I have also been reading lots of these...gosh I love the on hold service at the library, it is like Christmas when they all come in together.

 

 

There has also been lots of this..

 

and that!

 

Lots of cuddling, I am fairly sure her feet hardly touch the ground when the children are around.

 

Of course there has been a little of this and this as well...

 

This could be the reason nothing else much is getting down you think?

More paintings ready for the show and a new puppy!

Yes well it was inevitable, I knew there would be a puppy around soon, the way the children and the darling husband kept oohing and aahing over every small dog they saw trying to convince me to buy a puppy.  So what do they do, they discover the classifieds in the paper and then the Trading post on-line...and while I was out at Lilly Cottage they were plotting and scheming and driving huge distances to get a puppy.

When I came home from Lilly Cottage on Sunday there was not a soul around and the place had the feel of the calm before the storm....not long after three excited children and one excited daddy came in with a little Jack Russel/ Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross of a puppy who now goes by the name of Matilda ( Tilly for short),

She is cute but they all ( they who wanted and bought the said puppy) went to school and work today leaving me with a small puppy who wants to chew everything and thinks that it can take on any animal in its' path....that would be any of the 6 chickens, 8 guinea pigs, one cat, one other dog, 4 gold fish and 2 Hermit crabs.

Somehow I managed to finish off some more paintings and label things to go to the Ipswich show tomorrow with the wonderful girls from The Handmade Expo . I didn't get as much finished as I would like but I suppose I did get enough done.
