oh that is so easy... i am reading it right now and it was gifted to me by an old friend recently. my all time fav book is 'watership down' by richard adams. it really is worth the read, and even though it seems to be a childrens/teenagers book it is still great to read as an adult. trust me i estimate that this is my 10th time of reading it since 1986...

A lovely spot!... can I sit and stitch? :-))
I love to pop in to see what changes are happening at 'Lilly Cottage' :-)
Happy stitching ... sorry ... reading, P

Hey Lovely Lilly Linda! Ooooohhh!! I do wish I lived a little bit closer to come play at your place more often!! I would very much enjoy sitting and sharing your peaceful corner. Hmmm ... books ... how long do you have?!?!?! I am a Super Bookworm and love a few different genres. For Fantasy Fiction, I read Raymond E Feist, David Eddings and Jennifer Fallon (Aussie writer, very clever!), for mystery with a little bit of romance and sometimes a hint of 'otherworldly', I can't go past Nora Roberts, for bad-boys and a big splash of 'otherworldly', I go for the Dark Hunter series, for straight out adventure, I read Clive Cussler ... are you getting the impression I spend my life reading when I'm not stitching?? Well, you'd be RIGHT! No wonder the housework never gets done! Tee! Hee! Hee! Happy reading! Bear Hugs! KRIS

=^..^= i have a couple of ideas for reading in such a lovely corner ...
both of the following are all time favorites of mine:

Rabbit Hill (by Robert Lawson)

& ... The Van Gogh Cafe (by Cynthia Rylant) . . .

Both are books for the young at heart.
You will adore them. I betcha. Really!

Of course there are so many others meant for ::ahem:: big folks too. I suppose it depends on your taste what to recommend?

i Hope you enjoy the books you find. xx zU
(P. S. Watership Down is indeed a gorgeous read ...)

I love your little corner. I wish I could visit. By the way, I'm with the Jane Austen fans, I also enjoyed 'The Time Traveller's Wife' The Shell Seekers by Rosamund Pilcher is also one of my favourites. I hope you're feeling better. My MS has flared up again, and I'm in the middle of editing the October edition of our local magazine. It always happens at the worst time, doesn't it? I'm smiling through gritted teeth. luv Lesley

Hi Linda,
Hm, yes, I'd like to curl up in the corner and read for a few days.
At the moment I'm reading, "The boy in the striped Pyjamas"
I intend on seeing the movie after reading the book.

Term Papers

You arranged a nice little corner and all you want to do is creep in there with your book and a cup of tea. This corner has all of my favorite things, soft patchwork colours, pictures of roses and pretty tea cups.

  • Hi and thank you for visiting. My name is Linda and I live on a sunny tropical island in Queensland Australia. This blog used to be called Lilly Cottage and within its archives you will find many many posts about my gorgeous little cottage shop that was at Old Petrie Town. I had a shop there with my friend Laura for over four years though had to close it due to my nasty MS. Now I am sea changing, creating and loving life at a slightly slower pace ( I said slightly). Enjoy my blog. Kiss Noises Linda
