When the blurb on the brochure says ' An opportunity for grown-ups to step back-in-time and the chance for children to create lasting childhood memories, Lollipop Land ( Lollipop Land Facebook Link ) is an enchanting Christmas Installation created by Visual Display Artist Jule Barten ( Whimsical Imaginings) and Original Doll Artist Chris Boston ( Chris Boston's website here) ' , that really is too tempting and we had to visit, (in fact we have been there more than once, we loved it so much).
As we were also lucky enough to attend a tea party in Lollipop Land before it opened to the public, we felt even more special. Lollipop Land is only open for a short while and every year it is in a different place.
This year Lollipop Land has found a home at the Woodford Open Space, 126 Archer Street, Woodford, Qld. ( it is in the main street, you can't miss it, there is a big honey bear out the front).
It is open from December 7th 2013 to January 19th 2014...so you really only have a matter of days to go in visit in person this year.
I think I took a million photos, ok maybe less than a million but certainly more than 100..and you are encouraged to do so as long as you share the love with others...so that is what I am doing now, as it is really too pretty not to share.
Jule will tell you the most lovely story as you enter Lollipop Land and if you are very lucky, she will sit upon the lovely unicorn and tell special stories about the lovely characters who work in Lollipop Land.
All of these dolls are handmade by Chris and they are breathtaking.
( now this is a real life doll.. the gorgeous Jule, looks like one of the dolls have come to life).
If you look amongst the leaves and under the trees you see the most amazing things.
Enjoy some of my million..I mean hundred photos ( it was hard to only select a few, so I selected more to share with you, :) ) and I do hope you get to visit Lollipop Land one day.
Kiss Noises Linda
